Thanks to the Python Software Foundation
In order to build version of Python and extensions for it on Windows in a way that is compatible with the officially released binaries, specific versions of Visual Studio need to be used. The free versions of these versions of Visual Studio provide a wide range of functionality, but unfortunately not all the functionality needed to maintain, build and release installers for Stackless Python.
Steve Holden on behalf of the P.S.F. has kindly arranged for MSDN licenses for a selection of developers who help contribute to Windows Python environments. One of these MSDN licenses has been obtained on behalf of Stackless Python.
Thanks Steve!
